Business Support Organisations

• Must have been in existence for at least two years.
• Must have a track record of delivery of labour market relevant quality skills training.
• Applicant must indicate planned follow up activities intended to ease the trainee’s entry into the labour market.
• Provide the methodology for post-training monitoring and evaluation to ascertain the effectiveness or otherwise of the training provided.   

• Legible members must be in the coffee growing, value chain or processing and baristas.
• They must be operating in member countries.

Agriterra targets those cooperatives or other farmer owned enterprises, who are ambitious, have good management, who want to professionalize their performance, who are ready for change and who have plans to invest in order to expand their business.

Business must be operating in Uganda and operating under the legal standards of the country

• MSMEs.

Business must fall in category of traders

Private sector companies that deal in international trade.

Economically disadvantaged young men and women (aged 15-24years) in Uganda and Tanzania.

Youth economic empowerment programming provides employable skills, incentives, mentorship and connections that enable disadvantaged youth in Kampala's slums to transit from lives of crime and poverty to lives of productive occupation.

Business is required to be in first stages of early development and an expanding MSME

• Company must be privately owned.
• Over 50% of ownership of the company is in local hands.
• The company needs to be operational for at least two years .
• The company has between 10 and 250 employees.
• Both the annual turnover and the balance sheet total should not exceed 10 million euros.
• Organisations that are not SMEs (business support organisations, Chambers of Commerce etc.) can apply, but only if they have an enabling role for the private sector.

All businesses that face high risks in their operations

• For profit, post revenue business.
• The business must have full time and dedicated core team.
• The business should have existed for two or more years.
• The business should have a full-time founding team.
• Business turnover USD of 50,000 plus.
• Business should be open to raising external investment

Targets disadvantaged youths between the ages of 18 and 24 years from families living below or slightly above the national poverty line of US$ 1.90. 

• Individuals can apply if they are Ugandan.
• You can apply collectively as a group and at least one of the members is a Ugandan citizen.
• Any Ugandan company can apply but must be fully licensed to operate in Uganda.
